A lot of work with a little fun thrown in too: On behalf of the Carbondale Chamber Board and its members, the Carbondale Chamber treated the Highway 133 Project Team to lunch last Thursday to show their appreciation for the Project Team’s hard efforts, professionalism, and friendly faces. Pictured: Andrea Stewart, Carbondale Chamber Executive Director; Rosie Cudmore, Carbondale Chamber Office Manager; Veronica Worley ANB Bank; and the Project Team, including United Companies and CDOT. A special thanks to It’s My Party for the fun balloon arrangement and Heidi’s Brooklyn Deli for the sandwiches!
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) began a safety improvements project in May 2014 to reconstruct areas along State Highway (SH) 133 in Carbondale. The project is expected to last until mid-November 2014.
The southbound shoulder of SH 133 is closed from Delores Way to Village Road for trail construction.
A lane shift is in effect 24 hours a day on SH 133 from Dolores Way to Colorado Avenue for construction on the west side of the highway.
East Main Street is closed at SH 133 for roundabout construction. Main Street and other downtown Carbondale businesses can still be accessed by motorists and pedestrians using the temporary signal at SH 133 and Colorado Avenue.
The RFTA bus stop on Main Street has been relocated to Colorado Avenue.
The Project Team thanks you for your patience as it continues to work on safety and access improvements along the corridor.
