The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) began a safety improvements project in May 2014 to reconstruct areas along State Highway (SH) 133 in Carbondale. The project is expected to last until mid-November 2014.
Week of August 24:
There will be utility work on the east side of SH 133 at Village Road Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Traffic will be diverted around the work, and the highway will remain open in both directions. Moderate impacts are expected to motorists and pedestrians, as the work also will impact the trails along SH 133.
- The shoulder on the east side of SH 133 from Main Street to Hendrick Drive will be closed from Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as crews work on east side trail construction.
- West Main Street is closed while crews work on the west side of the roundabout. East Main Street has reopened, and Hendrick Drive will serve as a detour.
- A lane shift is in effect 24 hours a day on SH 133 from Dolores Way to Colorado Avenue.
The Project Team thanks you for your patience as it continues to work on safety and access improvements along the corridor.
